بمنح الجائزة الوطنية للطلبة الذين حققوا إنجازات في مختلفة المجالات، والميدالية
الخاصة لحفظة القرآن الكريم، مساء الأربعاء الموافق 06/10/2021م، في حفل أقيم
لإحياء ذكرى اليوم الوطني لعام 1443، في ساحة الجمهورية.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has conferred the National Award for Special Achievement to 11 recipients and the Special Medal for Memorising the Holy Quran to 11 recipients. The President conferred the awards tonight, at the special ceremony held to commemorate the Maldives’ National Day 1443, at the Republic Square.
Of the 11 recipients who won the National Award for Special Achievement, 6 individuals had attained exceptional distinction in completing studies at MQA rank 10, and 4 individuals were awarded for achieving the highest ranking position in a higher academic course between MQA rank 7 and 9. From these 4, 3 individuals had attained the highest rank in MQA rank 7 courses, and one individual attained the highest rank in a MQA rank 9 course.
Individuals awarded for attaining exceptional distinction in completing studies at MQA rank 10 (PhD):
1. Dr. Mohamed Muneez
2. Dr. Fathimath Nishan
3. Dr. Mohamed Zahir
4. Dr. Mariyam Shareefa
5. Dr. Aishath Waheeda
6. Dr. Visal Moosa
Individuals awarded for achieving the highest ranking position in a higher academic course at MQA rank 7, 8 or 9:
1. Aishath Zilma (MQA rank 9 – Masters)
2. Aminath Thizkar Yousuf (MQA rank 7 – Bachelor’s Degree)
3. Shamila Idrees (MQA rank 7 – Bachelor’s Degree)
4. Aminath Humaidha (MQA rank 7 – Bachelor’s Degree)
One individual, Al-Qari Ahmed Rasheed Abdul Qadir, was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement as recognition for his outstanding performance in innovating an internationally-recognised software for Dhivehi Braille to a standard recognised the by the government in order to improve literacy among blind Maldivians.
Individuals awarded the President’s special medal for committing the Holy Quran to memory at the highest level:

Speaking during the ceremony, President Solih offered his congratulations to all winners of the National Awards and Special Medals.
